Minim is our first product: a mobile-first video platform where every video is licensed, not just streamed, so the people making the content are the ones who get paid for it.
The problem
Ad-revenue models were designed for volume. They break down the moment a creator invests real production value into a video: the more a creator invests into his content, the more an ad-share fraction disenfranchises the creator. Real costs - equipment, editing, time, expertise - go into premium videos that are worth paying for.
Minim doesn't monetise attention, it monetises the work itself. A creator prices a video based on what it's actually worth. A viewer buys a license to that specific video. The money moves directly, per license, so the price reflects the work, not a slice of an ad pool divided up after the fact.
How it works
A creator uploads a video and sets a price. Minim handles the processing: encoding it into multiple quality levels so it plays smoothly whatever the viewer's connection looks like.
Creator sets the best part of the video as preview. Viewers can preview before they commit. Buying unlocks a license to that video specifically, not a subscription to a catalogue, not a vague bundle.
Licensed viewers can stream on the spot or download for offline playback, with the video protected end-to-end so it can't just be lifted and reshared.
Revenue from every license goes back to the creator. Minim only takes a platform fee; the creator keeps what their content trully earns.
Under the hood
Every video is encrypted and delivered as an adaptive stream, and access is checked against an actual license record rather than a simple paywall flag. This is the same rigor you'd expect from a platform handling paid digital content, not a bolt-on shopping cart.
Built to last, not to demo
Premium content and payment-worthy video needs real security and real access control, not just a nice upload button. We have all this locked; encryption, licensing and mobile playback. The interface and anything decorative may evolve, but we already built trust into its DNA.
